The Pioneers were are the road Monday evening to take on the Yale Bull Dogs and came away with a huge road win to push their record to 9-2 on the season. Cros-Lex shot out front early by winning both baker games. 1st baker was 160 to 146. Senior Logan Miller salvaged the game for the Pioneers by striking out in the 10th frame. The 2nd baker was 255 to 160. again it was Senior Logan Miller along with Senior Robert Smith providing the punch for the Pioneers. Robert thru strikes in both of his frames and Logan thru 4 out of a 5 possible strikes. The 1st set of head to head games was a split with 2-1/2 points going to each squad. Senior Robert Smith lead the scoring with a 191game. Senior Logan Miller tossed a 188 game and 1st time varsity bowler Senior Tyler Butler added a 180 game. The 2nd set of head to head games was dominated by the Pioneers. Senior Logan Miller was on fire and thru a perfect 300 game, his first ever! First time varsity bowler Freshman Donald Cooper Jr. rolled a big 238 game. Senior Tyler Butler joined in with a very nice 225game. Other scores were Senior Robert Smith 183 and Junior Skyler Hyvonen 172. The Pioneers beat their previous high scratch game with 1,118 total pin count in that 2nd set of head to head games. Cros-Lex also produced their largest series total of the year with a total pin count of 2020! Very proud of all the boys tonight for the attention to the fundamentals, especially Logan Miller for the mental toughness. Hopefully we can ride the momentum into the final stretch of the season.
