The LA Lakers made a trip to North Branch Monday night in hopes to find some help for Lebron James this season. They came to the right game! The Pioneers started the game with more intensity than any teammate Lebron has. Zach Kroetsch started out hot from behind the arc hitting 3 triples in the first quarter. That is 3 more threes that Ball has hit all season. All three of them were nice passes from Kolakovich and Hosterman. The second quarter was Sontag’s quarter to show what he could do offensively outscoring the Broncos himself, showing Ingram what it looks like to hit a free throw. The Pioneers took a 32-16 lead into half time. The 3rd quarter was designated for Butler to show JaVale McGee what it looks like to play both ends of the court scoring 5 points and bringing down 8 rebounds. Kolakovich showed the Lakers what it looked like to have a true point guard that is willing to do it all. Trey led the team with 6 assists, also threw in some points with 9 and pulled 5 rebounds down. What was most impressive on the night was the teams defense. Everyone that stepped on the court made a difference. I had to let LA down after the game. We are not willing to negotiate any trades at this time. The Pioneers were led by Kroetsch with 13. Wilkinson, Affer, and Soule each chipped in with 3 points. Geiger, McDonald, Mendoza each had 2 points. McDonald with limited minutes due to an injury had 7 rebounds. Geiger also pulled down 7 boards and Mendoza had 5.
